Jiaqi is a Director at Heng Ee Foodstuff Supplies, a Singapore-based manufacturer and distributor of sauces, dried goods and general groceries serving more than 2,000 active F&B customers.
Founded by his parents in 1979, the family business entered its next chapter when Jiaqi, his brother and their business partner took over its management more than a decade ago. Today, he oversees the company’s finance, operations and human resources functions, with a focus on maintaining healthy cash flow, managing costs and strengthening organisational performance.
Before joining the family business, Jiaqi worked at a Big Four accounting firm and held trade finance operations and receivables roles at Standard Chartered and HSBC. His experience has shaped his practical approach to working capital, credit management and the operational complexities of running a distribution business.
Jiaqi also co-founded ZaHuoDian (杂货店), a neighbourhood provision shop concept that brings together community, convenience and a sense of nostalgia. He is particularly drawn to operationally complex businesses where sustainable growth and stronger margins are achieved through discipline, consistency and attention to detail.
Jiaqi holds a degree in Accountancy from Nanyang Technological University (NTU).
