Biography

Joshua Tengeo is a cyber security leader with over a decade of experience, including eight years directing security operations across the banking, automotive, hospitality, and technology sectors. He currently serves as Senior Lecturer in Cyber Security at Singapore Polytechnic’s School of Computing, where he teaches malware reverse engineering, ethical hacking, and network security. Previously he led security operations as IT Security Lead (VP) at Hong Leong Finance, headed APAC offensive privacy engineering at TikTok, and managed global cyber security at Mercedes-Benz. He holds the OSCP, OSWE, OSEP, and CRTP certifications, and speaks on purple teaming and adversary tradecraft, including at Techweek 2023. 

He has 12+ years in offensive and defensive cyber security, spanning SOC design and deployment. Led the build-out of a 24/7 SOC and MAS TRM-aligned SIEM at FSI; directed the APAC Offensive Privacy Team at TikTok; managed global security operations and red teaming at Mercedes-Benz. Certifications: OSCP, OSWE, OSEP, CRTP, Certified Threat Intelligence (Ensign).
