Pulse Tan is the inaugural Chairman of ASME’s Digitalisation and AI (DAIS) Action Group and a Co-opted Council Member of ASME. He is Co-Director of SME@AITE, the AI Centre of Excellence run jointly by ASME and ITE College Central, which gives SMEs a risk-free environment to adopt and experiment with AI.
His policy work centres on closing the AI adoption gap for the micro and small enterprises that make up the vast majority of Singapore’s firms, the argument at the heart of his “two-speed economy” framing and of the AI Policy Position Paper he co-authored and edited with Young PAP and ASME, work that has since been referenced in parliamentary debate.
He is Managing Director of NinetyOne Branding and Marketing, the creative agency he has led since 2016, and the founder of Scout, an agentic AI product that reads social signals to identify customer intent and automate outreach. He also serves as Head of Communications at Young PAP.
